Rainbow School Counselor Door Sign (Editable)

Image
Before Spring Break I did a few things to refresh my school counseling office. I created this 🌈 Rainbow School Counselor Door Sign 🌈 I created on Canva to refresh my school counseling office door.  I love how it goes with my Mindfulness Pinwheel Bulletin Board and adds some spring vibes to my office door. I attached the door sign using a page protector. I cut the side with the hole punches and affixed it to the window on my door using a  Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller .  Using a page protector to hang my door sign will allow me to easily swap it out and add other signs. (I also made a "Zoom Meeting in Progress" sign that I'll share soon.) If you want your own version this 🌈 Rainbow School Counselor Door Sign 🌈 I made an editable version for you! Click here or the image below to get your own editable copy. What signs do you have on your door?  Have you ever used a page protector to hold signs o...

Quick and Easy Welcome Back Bulletin Board

Image
If you are short on time and need a quick and easy "Welcome Back" bulletin board, this one is for you! This bulletin board is an idea mash-up of  Dr. Susan Fuller - Entirely Elementary School Counseling "BE" Bulletin Board  and  this inspiring classroom door  I saw on Pinterest. I created the words for this bulletin board using Google Slides. Google has some awesome fonts, and best of all they are free! If you save a copy of Welcome Back Bulletin Board you can add more words, change the fonts, and edit the "Welcome Back" message to state your school's name or acronym. I printed the words on alternated colors of cardstock . I framed the "Welcome Back" message with a l arger piece of black cardstock . Have you created any Welcome Back Bulletin Boards this school year? I would love to see them! Comment below,  tweet ,  contact Danielle , or share on the  School Counselor Blog Facebook Page ! Danielle is a K-12 Certified ...

Magnificent and Marvelous New School Year Printable

Image
To celebrate the new school year I wanted to give teachers and staff a small sweet treat! I was racking my brain and even consulted with Andrea from JYJ Counselor about ideas. She reminded me that I didn't have to reinvent the wheel that I could repurpose one of my other ideas. I originally was going to make a different version of my 3 Musketeers printable , but wanted to create something that I could give to ALL staff. So, I decided to revamp my Magnificent and Marvelous School Counselor  printable and create a Magnificent and Marvelous new school year printable ! I used Microsoft PowerPoint to create my printable. I created a new slideshow and wrote the message:  Wishing you a  Magnificent and Marvelous  new school year! On the inside I personalized it for my school, but I created a generic message that you could sign your name to that states:  I am excited to provide services to support the  academic success, personal/social well-being,...

Bullying Classroom Lesson Planner Printable

Image
Last week I had the opportunity to meet with 5th grade teachers at their team meeting.  They asked if I could come into their classes and do lessons on bullying. Of course I was thrilled to do classroom lessons with 5th graders! I planned with the teachers to come in for a series of lessons with 5th grade during their morning meeting time.  I am making a schedule so that I will facilitate two lessons in each classroom and then start at the first class again for more sessions.  I am working on planning the lessons so they will go in a progression. In my continued attempt to avoid "Random Acts of Guidance," I decided that this would be a perfect opportunity to create a classroom lesson planner for bullying.  I created the classroom lesson planner to help me keep track of what lessons I plan to facilitate and how they align to  ASCA standards . The first classroom lesson planner I created is a Bullying Classroom Lesson Planner .  I created...

Self-Esteem Group Planner Printable

Image
Lately I have been trying to come up with ways to make what I do more purposeful in an effort to avoid doing "Random Acts of Guidance." :) I decided to create ways to keep track of what I am doing how what I am doing aligns to  ASCA standards . The first thing I have created is a group session planner to store and record group sessions I facilitate with students. My goal is to make a group session planner for each of the groups I facilitate.  This will help me determine which  ASCA standards  I am addressing during each session. Using a group session planner will not only help me in the short term, but it will help me in the long term when I plan to facilitate the activity or lesson again! The first group planner I created is a  Self-Esteem Group Planner .  I created a PDF file of the  Self-Esteem Group Planner  you can download by clicking on the highlighted text or by clicking on the pictures! The first page of the  Sel...
