Touched by Steve Jobs

I was shocked to learn this evening of the death of Steve Jobs, co-founder, chairman and former CEO of Apple.

It is so sad to lose such an innovative, visionary, and passionate person.

I have had Apple products as long as I can remember. I fell in love with Apple when I got my first computer, a grape iMac.

I have had Macs ever since. There are lots of Macs in my life...

iPhone

iPad

MacBook

and just this evening I tweeted my excitement of receiving an iPod Touch funded through my Donors Choose project. I plan to use it to "touch" every student at my school through a morning announcement program.

I have always been so impressed by the brand and following that Steve Jobs created.

I wanted to share this video of Steve Jobs' 2005 Standford Commencement Speech. It gives great insight into his life and his legacy.  You can read a full transcript here.
