Be the One Bulletin Board - Start with Hello Week

I designed a quick and easy bulletin board for Start with Hello Week.  I wanted to display something that would encourage and inspire students that ONE student truly can make a difference in the lives of other.

If you are not familiar with Start with Hello Week is run through the Sandy Hook Promise, a national non-profit organization founded and lead by several family members whose loved ones were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

Start with Hello Week is a way to promote community and inclusiveness at your school. The website has lots of free resources you can use to celebrate Start with Hello Week at your school.

This year Start with Hello Week is September 23rd through September 27th. We are planning a variety of events at our school including a Mix it Up Day on Monday and a Kindness Day on Wednesday. The national Mix it Up Day takes place in October, but we are hosting it early this year. Mix it Up Day is a way to encourage students to get to know students outside of their typical social group. Teaching Tolerance has a ton of great resources for celebrating Mix it Up Day at your school.

I will share more about how we are celebrating Start with Hello Week in a future posts and on Instagram.

I added the "Be the One" bulletin board to my Teachers Pay Teacher's Store. So far this is the only item in my store that is not free. I am hosting a 20% sale today, September 14, 2019 through Monday, September 16th on this item so you can start promoting Start with Hello Week at your school!
