School Counselor Blog

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break! I am shocked at how fast November is going! Although I have been posting things a lot I feel like I really have not written anything specifically for School Counselor Blog in awhile. It has been a difficult transition for me from full-time school counselor to full-time doctoral student and graduate assistant. I miss the kids I worked with so much but I am happy about the decision I made to pursue a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. I had an "AHA" moment today... I still have all kinds of ideas floating around in my head that apply to counseling younger students, but no way to execute them... just because I can't execute all of the ideas I am having does not meet that YOU cannot! I have resolved to share more ideas and keep providing you with the fun and creative ideas you have come to expect from School Counselor Blog. I am so excited to share pictures of my new office space with you!  This is what it looked like when we came in.   The two desks were connected and up against the back wall.  Here is my desk! Our bosses gave use each a bag of stuff to welcome us! :) :) :)  Look at all this cool stuff! I feel so school-spirit-y! Is that a word?! ;)  I share my office with my fellow graduate assistant.  We are in the process of making our office student friendly.
