Hi my name is Danielle and I am a school counseling material hoarder. I did not realize the extent of my problem until I went to my storage unit the other day to scope out what supplies I might want to take with me to my new position. This is what was staring back at me... dun dun dun... A hot mess. When I left my previous position I did not take the time to actually organize my stuff when I was putting it in boxes. I knew that I had to go through everything, sort, and organize so I could prioritize what I wanted to take to my new office. I made multiple trips to the storage unit bringing a few boxes with me each time. I went through each box and sorted things into piles: Keep, Throw Away, and Give to Mom (my mom is a teacher and is going to end up getting a ton of my elementary level stuff haha).  The stuff that I decided I wanted to keep I sorted into Middle School Level and Elementary Level. I am still in the process of recovering from all of the excitement of the 2013 ASCA Conference in Philadelphia, PA. I decided to write a series of posts because I really can't cram everything I want to say into one post! I will give you the highlights of each day I attended the conference, even though the whole conference was amazing! July 3, 2013 - ASCA Conference Day 4 Get Your Blog On!  The final day of the conference blogger buddy  +Andrea Burston  and I presented Get Your Blog On! The purpose of our presentation was to share tips and tricks for starting and maintaining a professional school counseling blog. Andrea and me after our presentation! We drove home the point that if you can write an email, you can write a school counseling blog! It is really not that difficult to write and maintain a blog... you just have to do it! :) We focused on using Blogger to create a blog because it is very user-friendly and we both use it to host our blogs....

I decided to write a series of posts because I really can't cram everything I want to say into one post! I will give you the highlights of each day I attended the conference, even though the whole conference was amazing! July 1, 2013 - ASCA Conference Day 2 Before I share about the Tech Smackdown, I must say that I fell in LOVE with the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia! I have been to the  Reading Terminal Market  in Philly before, but being at the conference for multiple days allowed me to really enjoy it and all of its splendor! It was so cool to have so many unique and varied food options available all in one place. And now, I must share my breakfast from day 2 with you because it was AMAZING!
