๐ŸŽ Holiday Gift Ideas for School Counselors

All of the gift ideas are items school counselors can use at home or in their school counseling office. Some of these items are things I already own and others are on my holiday list this year! ๐ŸŽ

๐Ÿฅค Corkcicle Tumbler - I love Corkcicle Tumblers! They keep your drinks cold for 9+ hours and hot for 3+ hours! I have multiple 16oz tumblers for iced coffee and I just got a 24oz one for keeping hydrated at work. I purchased the holiday tumbler (shown above) for myself on Black Friday. It was on sale then, but now it has an even deeper discount. There is also a coupon code right now -DASHAWAY20 for 20% off site wide.

Corkcicle also has an educator discount year round! (You can't use the discount in combination with other discounts though).

If you prefer to purchase through Amazon, some Corksicicle items are available on their site.

๐Ÿซ– Electric Kettle - This mini Smeg USA electric kettle is on my holiday list. I am looking forward to making tea during the winter months to practice self-care and create some cozy vibes in my school counseling office. There are so many electric kettles to choose from at different price points. A few of my favorites from Amazon are this one, this one, and this one.

I have my eye on the mini version of this Smeg Electric Kettle, but it is definitely a splurge item.

Pair a an electric kettle with some tea and you've got a whole theme going!

๐Ÿ’ก Ring Light - My ring light is a heavily-used item in my school counseling office. Even though we are back to school in person, I still have a few meetings on Zoom during the week. Using a ring light is a great way to make your video meetings, virtual conference presentations, and video chats look more professional. Ring lights balance light and reduce shadows. The ring light I have is under $20 and works wonders. They also make you look great too!

๐Ÿชด Plants - There are so many benefits to having real indoor plants. One of my favorite reasons is because they make a space feel cozy and lived in. Consider gifting a plant to a school counselor who could use to have a little happiness added to their space. There are lots of places to purchase plants... local nurseries, greenhouses, grocery stores, and even online like these ones from Rooted on Amazon! I just bought a Pilea at a farmer's market and I can't wait to show it to you. They are low maintenance and great for areas with low-light, which would be perfect for a school counseling office!

Another online option is The Sill, which allows you to pick plants and planters to ship.

Tea - I am looking forward to drinking lots of tea this winter! I love trying new kinds. I discovered Tea Pigs brand this year and I am loving their teas. They sell hot tea and cold brew tea. They also have seasonal flavors like gingerbread! I have purchased from the Tea Pigs website and at my local Whole Foods Market.

This Tea Pigs tea taster pack would make a great gift.

๐ŸŽ Gift Cards - School counselors and other educators love receiving gift cards for a gift. Gift cards allow the person to pick out something themselves for personal use or for their school counseling office. Some ideas of where to get gift cards for include:
  • independent bookshops
  • local coffee shops
  • local nursery or greenhouse (to buy a plant!)
  • a favorite store
  • Target, Amazon, or other big box gift card
I also did a post recently about my 5 Favorite School Counseling Favorites, items that I frequently use in my office.
